Does a will control all of my property?

Transcript

A will is a probate document, so no. The answer is it does not control all of your property, only the property if it gets to probate, which many people try to avoid. If you've named beneficiaries on accounts or past real estate through transfer on death, those items never get to probate, so never pass under a will.
