What does it mean to have a non profit corporation?

A nonprofit corporation is also a corporation that's filed through the secretary of state's office. Don't confuse nonprofit with a 501C3. Those are separate filings. Anyone who operates a nonprofit I would suggest finding an attorney because there are complex rules with the IRS in that regard.
